Colin is a born and bred Bell Islander. He has been a music enthusiast since youth, with a special interest in vinyl LP's. Selections from his vinyl collection can often be heard on his show. From board member, administrator and DJ, Colin definitely wears many hats when it comes to RBI.
Henry Crane
HOST OF BLAST FROM THE PAST AND INTERVIEW FRIDAY
This is Henry. Born and bred Bell Islander. Retired as a College Instructor 7 years ago. Has also been a probation officer and parole supervisor. Henry is very active in the community: Chairperson of Tourism Bell Island, Secretary/Treasurer Radio Bell Island, Deputy Mayor, Town of Wabana, and writer of plays and songs. Oh yes married for almost 50 years to the woman in the photo and have two great children.
Jerome Warren
SUNDAY NIGHT DJ
Jerome loves entertaining both live performances and doing DJ shows. He has done a lot of volunteering over the years, with the legion and Kiwanis. He is also the current founding president of the 50 Plus club with some 90 plus members. He enjoys helping others and showing them his love for music.
Donnie & Jay
HOSTS OF THC, THIRSTY THURSDAY, AND DA SHED PARTY
Donnie and Jay are co-hosts of multiple different shows on Radio Bell Island. Their friendship dating back to middle school. They are huge fans of The Tragically Hip which you'll hear throughout their show. While also taking listener's requests, you'll love to hear what they have in store. They are one dynamic duo!
Ches Mitchell
HOST OF WICKED WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY FIX AND SIPPIN SUNDAY
Ches Mitchell aka Mr.Music is one of our station's DJs. He started at the boys and girls club for years as a DJ, also doing anniversaries and weddings for adults. He later left Bell Island and was a Dj in Ontario for some time. Now he is back to his home roots and helping RBI with his love for music. Catch him at his shows; Wicked Wednesday from 6-10, Friday Fix 12-3, and Sippin Sunday from 12-3. You never know what you'll hear, whether it's a joke, or great music, Mr. Music Rocks the Rock.
Mandy Crane
HOST OF MURDER AND MAYHEM
Mandy is a native Bell Islander. Graduating high school on Bell Island, and later, office administration at the College of the North Atlantic. She has written a short novella about her interest in serial killers titled Bad Seed: The Life of a Psychopath. She is the host of Murder and Mayhem, during her show she will discuss the world's most notorious serial killers to ever live.
Emma Lahey
HOST OF ALTERNATIVE AND CLASSIC ROCK SHOWS
Emma is the station's youngest DJ. They will be attending MUN in September of 2021. Their favorite musical artists are David Bowie and The Beatles. Emma loves alternative and classic rock music, often playing music that listeners haven't heard in years.
